How it works

One source of truth from first decision to technical release.

Whether the project begins in Studio or Board Cutting, material, component and manufacturing intent stays connected through review.

The clear version

What this part of DIY Joinery is for.

The platform reduces workshop assumptions by keeping design intent and production information together. Automation prepares the brief; technical verification controls release.

01

01 · Define

Start with furniture or finished components.

Studio builds furniture from configurable recipes. Board Cutting starts with known part dimensions. Both use published materials and explicit production choices.

02

02 · Prepare

Complete materials, edges, hardware and machining.

Missing or incompatible choices remain visible. Saved work can be revisited before it is submitted.

03

03 · Review

Check feasibility and optimisation.

Submitted specifications are reviewed for material, grain, edging, machining and production compatibility. The cutting plan and confirmed price are checked before payment.

04

04 · Release

Produce only from the approved brief.

Approved saw and CNC output is released after review and payment. Submitted instructions are not silently replaced by workshop assumptions.

Choose a starting point

Design furniture or specify panels directly.

The right route depends on whether you already know the finished component sizes.
