The clear version

What this part of DIY Joinery is for.

These answers describe the current platform behaviour. Project-specific feasibility, pricing and production decisions are confirmed during review.

01

Choose the tool

Studio or Board Cutting?

Use Studio when you want to configure furniture and see its assembled intent. Use Board Cutting when you already know the finished panel dimensions.

02

Prepare the brief

What information should be ready?

Bring finished dimensions, quantities, material preferences, grain direction, visible edges, hardware references and drawings for specialist operations.

03

Understand release

Does saving or previewing start manufacture?

No. Saving preserves the project. Submitting creates a review brief. Optimisation, payment and production release happen at later controlled stages.

Useful detail

Common questions.

Can I save a furniture project and return later?

Yes. Signed-in customers can save supported Studio projects and reopen them with their selected furniture configuration, materials and details.

Can I upload a cutting list?

Yes. Board Cutting provides a current workbook template for importing component rows. Use the supplied columns, product codes, millimetres and whole-number quantities.

Are preview drilling positions production instructions?

No. Preview geometry supports inspection. Production drilling is released only from compatible article data and approved technical output.

Can different parts use different materials?

Yes. Cutting-list components can use published materials independently. Furniture projects can assign separate materials to bodies, fronts, backs, drawers and worktops where the recipe requires them.

When is the price confirmed?

The submitted specification is reviewed and optimised before the confirmed price and payment stage.
